    Just to add a slightly off topic stop:

    If you're visiting Maranello, do yourself a solid and go visit Acetaia Villa San Donnino. They're a multi-generation traditional balsamic producer just a few minutes from the factory. My girlfriend brought me, and I was initially uninterested, but really throughly enjoyed it. Davide, the owner is really passionate and treated us like kings. He doesn't charge for the tour (about an hour) but does have a store there items start at 18 Euros and up, prices are reasonable though. Do call or email ahead though (24 hours is plenty). He treated us VERY well and was extremly generous with us both with his time and his products. I don't have any connection financial or otherwise to Davide or Villa San Donnino (I know I'm gushing a little though).

    Website:
    Villa San Donnino

    Trip Advisor reviews: (78 total, 73 five star, 5 four star)
    Villa San Donnino Reviews - Modena, Province of Modena Attractions - TripAdvisor

    Google maps directions from the factory:
    https://maps.google.ca/maps?saddr=ferrari&daddr=villa+de+san+donino+modena&hl=en&sll=44.675489,11.057739&sspn=0.595694,1.432343&geocode=FYOBpwIdXsSlACEQiWr1HNmf0CkZhRRZp-N_RzEQiWr1HNmf0A%3BFfc7qAIdzXCnACnh7pRg_uZ_RzHcngqbwqwIfw&t=h&mra=ls&z=13

    Also: while you're in the area go visit Pagani in San Cesario sul Panaro. Fantastic experience, and they allowed us plenty of time to get very close to a new Huayra. Again The workshop is a mere 25km (10 miles or so) from the factory: https://maps.google.ca/maps?saddr=ferrari&daddr=Pagani&hl=en&ll=44.580931,10.947189&spn=0.14721,0.358086&sll=44.553537,10.942383&sspn=0.147279,0.358086&geocode=FYOBpwIdXsSlACEQiWr1HNmf0CkZhRRZp-N_RzEQiWr1HNmf0A%3BFaloqAIdWUyoACEWMxehMj3Q5ylvEAE9Yt1_RzEWMxehMj3Q5w&t=h&mra=ls&z=12

    Did you buy them here?

    Italian GP - Ferrari events

    Q: Where will my Ferrari Formula 1 Club tickets be sent? And how long will they arrive before the GP?

    The tickets will be couriered approximately 5 days before the start of the race weekend to the address you provide when making your purchase.

    Not to be a smart ass but that's precisely the problem with F1 tickets being sent to your home. I was once chasing my Valencia GP tix all over Europe.

    That's why Formula 1® - The Official F1® Website tix are best because they don't try to send them to your home but you pick them up at the track. Sorry that this doesn't work for your Paddock tickets. Bummer.

    Monza is wonderful, although not really a good spectator track. I walked the track and the pits on Friday and Saturday, and then sat high up under cover at the start/finish opposite the pits. Just my preference, love those standing starts.

    You must walk the old banking.

    Possibly different today, when I went, I could only buy Sunday tickets in advance. I had to wait outside the track on Friday and Saturday to buy tickets for those days.

    Do not park inside the track. If you drive, park anywhere outside the track and walk.

    I stayed in Como, about 45 minutes each way through some beautiful countryside. 200 year old monastery converted to a hotel, just opened. Beautiful Italian woman with nice hooters was the manager, she made returning back each night worth the trip. She loved Americans.

    I went the year MS won for Ferrari for the first time in many years, Tifosi went wild. Drove to Maranello that night, had a private English tour of the factory Monday morning. Went to the F50 assembly area, all the workers were drinking wine to celebrate, so I would be really careful buying an F50 built on that Monday.

    If you want to go to Venice, I suggest staying in Verona, leave your car there and take the train to Venice and back. Our hotel in Verona was very accommodating.

    10AM Monday. Hoping for a Ferrari win and something special.

    Decided not to try and squeeze the GP into this trip. We will be in Maranello Sunday PM so hope to hear the bells ringing!

    Thanks for the info and tips guys. It will come in handy for another trip, I'm sure...

    So here's MY 2013 Pilgrimage road-trip itinerary with 99% of the factory tours and necessary hotel and tickets already booked! :

    1) Leave Brussels the evening of 30 August Friday (after the rush-hour traffic of course);

    2) Arrive Frankfurt at some point in the evening;

    3) Hit the ring (Hockenheimring) on Saturday and maybe also on Sunday for the Corse Clienti - Ferrari Racing Days (Hockenheim | 2013 Season Ferrari Corse Clienti)
    Once that's accomplished start heading south, stopping on the way somewhere in the middle TBD and arrive at Maranello Monday evening at some point. Hotel: Maranello Village;

    4) Tuesday @ 11h00 Pagani Factory Tour;

    5) Tuesday afternoon Lamborghini Museum as their factory tour was already fully book from months in advance but I dont really mind as in my opinion they are not Italian anymore :)

    6) Grand Wednesday fully booked with everything Ferrari:
    Morning:Museo Ferrari & Factory Tour back to back
    Noon: 2 rounds of F1 Simulator
    Afternoon: Museo Casa Enzo Ferrari
    & checking out some F-cars (Pushstart - Test Drive Maranello) Will hopefully get the chance to drive for the first time ever!;

    7) Thursday the Ducati Museum and the Factory tour also if possible as I am waiting to hear from them STILL!;

    8) Thursday night: hit the road to Milano - arrive hotel near the Central station;

    9) Friday: MV Agusta Factory Tour & some Milano sightseeing in the afternoon and the evening;

    10) Saturday Quali;

    11) Sunday Race @ Grandstand (6b) Alta Velocita B;

    12) Sunday after race drive back to Belgium the whole night with my cousin (50/50 driving) to catch the plane next day on Monday in the afternoon to Istanbul to attend my sister's wedding :)

    I tried to put as many visits as possible in the given time frame. If there is anything else you guys think I should include, please don't hesitate to tell me :)

    Too bad the Alfa Romeo museum is closed which is the only major thing I wanted to add in the itinerary as well. Oh well, there can always be a next time..

    And as I will be with my car do you guys think I should still take the train on Sunday to Monza?

    Thanks for your feedback already!

    Two things; there is another thread about Maranello village and their breakfast options; someone stayed 5 days and only had free breakfast one of their days; got a huge bill for the other breakfasts they thought were included. Also Grand tuesday/Wednesday - dinner? Try and make a reservation at Montana's....if not Cavallino, but Montana's combination of food and F1 memorabilia will blow you away....

    Wolfgang,

    Thanks for the helpful feedback!

    It says in the reservation that the breakfast is included for all throughout the stay. Just in case I e-mailed the Village to make sure!

    And I completely forgot about dinner for some reason so thanks for the reminder :)
    I will check out those restaurants you have mentioned and make reservations to make sure I can go to at least one of them as one doesn't get to travel there very often so I want to try as much as possible!
    I remember when I was in Bologna earlier this year (I didnt have the chance at the time to visit Maranello at the time) there was a very nice restaurant called Pappagallo in the center of Bologna. I will maybe try pay a visit there for one of the dinner nights!

    Hello Bundas,

    I think it is better for both of us that I go either with my car or take the train as Monza seems like it is in between Milano (where I am staying) and Como (where you are staying) :)

    Can't say I'm not jealous with the Club Pass you got tho!

    I will probably end up going super early as suggested in the thread earlier and walk around and take pictures!

    Thanks a lot for the nice offer tho.

    Martin,

    Yes, I will be staying in Maranello from the 2nd until the 5th (Hotel Maranello Village - www.hotelmaranellovillage.com) and in Milano from the 5th until 8th.

    Will you be in the area also? :)

    chaps,
    for those of you staying a few days in maranello, I'm testing my F430GT3 on the 3th in Misano Adriatico. A few other GT Cars there too (26) free entry as it is just a track day... maybe someone wants to combine adria with some noisy cars :)
