Ditto -- he and the entire service team always do a great job. I have never had reason to complain about the fee either.

I have found LFSC to be very slow (8 months for a belt and valve service on a 456), somewhat sloppy, and poor communicators. I had Personalized Auto Service in Kenosha do a tech. Inspection on my 360 prior to Road America. They did a great job. The father-son owners both used to work at LFSC. They had just finished a major on a 348 and were also working on a 355, a Mangusta, a Quatraporte and a 412. Their labor rate is $85/hr, much lower than LFSC.

I have been using Personalized Auto service since they opened. If I was not their first customer, I was their first major. I have a 328. All bills are reasonable and car has run like new with no issues since I started using them. They will occasionally suggest preventative maintenance but always makes sense.

Just to chime in, I had a really miserable experience at LFSC doing the major. Almost 9 weeks with really poor excuses why it took so long. The communication with service staff and mgr were even worse! Jeff the tech I liked but, and it's a big but, driving home the 15 miles after waiting over two summer months and $7,200 later the battery light went on. Figured they had the door open or such, put it on the charger till full, went for a drive and light back on. Luckily, got it home, pulled the alternator and had a shop near by check it and it was putting out ZERO! Called Shawn back to explain and he stated it must have been a "coincidence" that it just completely failed after I left. REALLY? Hard to believe that was their solution and responsibility. Oh yes and also it is leaking oil slowly at the cam belt cover. Again, not their fault they say. So after more than $7,000.00 and two summer months I had to have the alternator completely rebuilt and put it in myself. I would NEVER have them work on the car again, never. I've been to LFSC enough times for meets, shows, even had looked at a 348 there before I bought mine. I really was completely surprised at the attitude and actual service. I've since spoken with other local owners and my experience is not the only one.
