Does anyone if it is possible to remove a steering wheel on a 348ts without a proper steering wheel remover? My steering wheel is cocked 10% to the right but my alignment is perfect...

Don't know, but give it a try. Most cars need a puller, but Summit Racing has one for $20.00 (item #WMR-W80651).

Turn the tie rods, both the same amount, say 1/2 turn to start, but opposite directions.

That’s what a shop technician would do.

    Best,

If your steering wheel has never come off you will just screw the whole thing up when you get it properly aligned (with the steering wheel straight). There is an easy way to check if its the steering wheel or the alignment: Center the wheel (cock it back the 10% you say it's off) and count rotations to full stop left then recenter and count to full stop right. If they are the same then its the alignment (tie rods). If they are different then then it's the wheel.

Borrow a puller from Autozone. Or buy it, they are cheap.

+1 It is most likely the shop that aligned it last did not lock the steering wheel straight when they did it and got it going straight with the steering wheel cocked. It happens too often. Usually the owner turns right around and makes the shop redo it.

Due to a larger spline in the correct position, it's impossible to misalign it.

Yeah last alignment they didn't straighten out your steering wheel. It is master splined so its not like you can take it off and move it to center it up. Only an alignment will fix it.

On my 348 there is a special , like castellated nut, in the centre. I've not tried to remove it because I dont own the necessary socket and didnt fancy buying one

( I was only looking to see how easy it would be to remove so I could do a better job of cleaning the dash. The socket when googled appeared quite expensive for something I'd only need once. Some chaps on here have made their own http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/technical-q/5569-steering-wheel-socket-diy.html )

But on the boss there is a ring of Allen headed machine screws.
(I tried one and it was tight, so again because I didnt need to remove it, I just moved on and worked round)

I wouldnt be suprised if you could rotate the wheel by one machine screw if you wanted to, but I bet that would look equally as wrong in the other direction and not solve your problem at all... :)

Well then this whole, steering wheel puller, thing is pretty pointless. Tie rod adjustment it is!
