I finally completed removing all the stereo equipment from the '95 F355 and installed a radio delete plate with a Valentine One remote display embedded. I bought a V1 hard mount and am planning on installing it at the rear window when I have some more time. Currently the V1 is located on the passenger side visor with the cable running behind the trim and down to the hardwire power adapter. I still have some cleanup to do on the rats nets of wires under the dash where the radio was. The radio delete plate needs some color matching, but looks pretty good in person.

Have you considered sending your delete plate to Sticky-No-More? The texture and color of Robbie's paint will match much better than the current finish. Love your purist's approach to
driving! Looks very clean and professional. I absolutely need a stereo myself, couldn't live without it.

Whoa! That looks way better than my suggestion, very nice Paul! Beautiful interior, does it
still look and smell like a brand new car?

Both are great suggestions. The gauge surround is getting a bit sticky, so I may do the surround and radio delete plate at the same time to make them match. I got the radio delete plate off a UK seller on eBay. I am glad that it fit properly.

For tunes, I have Jawbone Jambox that I can connect into with my portable XM Radio. I usually do back-roads driving on the weekends, so don't listen to the radio much due to the roar of the engine. For long freeway drives, the Jambox may suffice for now. I couldn't live without music in my Daily Driver, though.

Thanks! Everything about it still feels and smells new. Though I've put over 6k miles on it now (for a total of about 6,200 on the car).

Isn't the radar detector something you want to hide? Isn't it bad to have it on display like that?

This is the remote display for the radar detector. It is too low to be easily seen from the drivers side window. Actual detector is on the passenger side visor and later to be hard mounted on the rear window shelf area. The remote display when connected turns off the main radar detector display. In California radar detectors are legal, but no leniency if the police office see it.

I love the leather-covered radio delete panel. And, that interior does look stunning.

Thanks for the suggestion about the Jambox; I've always struggled with a good solution for long freeway trips in these older Ferraris where I can't stream audio. I'll have to order one of those.

I seriously could not live without the radio. Love the sound of my car but on long drives I gotta have the radio on...

Would Brandon Motors be able to wrap the radio delete plate I have in leather? It is pretty tight tolerance where the remote display is installed.

I have a trimmer that I send leather work out to. However, I would just recommend finding someone local for such a small piece; you would save quite a bit of money.
