Does anyone know if it's possible to visit the Collection? I will be in the area next week and would love to do so if possible. Thanks for any tips or contacts any one might offer.
Hi Will, try to contact them: Prendre contact avec le Mas du Clos have a great time in the beautiful Auvergne Region!
I thought that this track is closed and the collection is not the same as the old days. Any accurate infos please?
Closed. Mr Bardinon is dead. 2 out of the 3 original GTOs already gone. Children have no interest in the cars.
Maybe theyre interested in the $$$ they bring? Anyway hope the collection gets sold off to collectors who take the cars out so they actually see some use which most of them havent really for 1-2 decades.
I think I read somewhere that years ago a family member died on the track. If true, that might explain why the children don't have any interest in the cars. (Or they are genuinely not interested, how hard that may be to understand for tifosi like us).
Yeah but they left while he was still alive, several other cars went too, #0808, #0822, #0626 etc..... And his son did drive #5573 at the last GTO get together. However I wouldnt be surprised to see the cars come to market one by one over the years.
Patrick is an excellent driver, and at one time in his youth was being groomed for a driving career. I guess when he got old enough to make his own decisions the plans changed. Don't quote me; just an idle observation.
I received no response to my email asking about the possibility of a visit but drove over on Saturday to see the chateau/ circuit. The road sign still said Mas du Clos but the word Circuit had been taped over. All looked in fine order but no sign of life.... A lovely part of France.
There 's another thread on the Bardinon saga. https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/threads/pierre-bardinon-collection.163387/page-16
