Thanks guys! I have a couple of questions so far
    1) the car is really low compared to my other ones -- I know that there are skid plates available (metal vs plastic) -- which plastic ones are the "slipperiest" available -- I have a steep driveway and the lower valance rubs the pavers slightly when I come out no matter the angle
    2) car came with a Ferrari battery conditioner -- where do you plug it in? Silly question but can't seem to find the connector anywhere in the car.

I believe the connector point you are looking for is in the engine bay. Right-hand side (passenger) up near the fender edge. A small, black plastic box cover with a "+" on it. It flips up and reveals the pos connector, along with 2 other neg lines.

If you have the owner's manual it explains it. And if you don't, you can get a .pdf at All Ferraris

Oh, and, welcome to the club! I'm only on week 3, so I know exactly how you feel. ;)

You may want to check under the hood above the right wheel for a battery tender plug. There is a small compartment that opens up where the battery shut off is
(battery is below). That's where the plug is on mine.

The slippery-est skid plates are probably the poly ones, that we have in stock from Hill Engineering:

SKD-355-PE F355 Skid Plates in Polyethylene : Ricambi America

    .

p.s. GORGEOUS COLOR! My colleague at Ricambi America (Aaron) called Tampa about that car the day you purchased it. He desperately wanted that color... but you got there first! :)

    Congrats on the 355.
As for those skid plates. I've tried a couple and ended up with aluminum only because they make the least amount of scraping sound.

+ 1. Even if "Ferrari", if installed at the dealer or by a PO, it is probably here because it is the only place that makes sense!

These are the ones I have. I've been very happy with them. I didn't bolt mine on, but instead, installed mine using 3M trim adhesive (basically very strong, very thin double sided tape). They've been on for more than two years and 4k miles and have worked very well, even in difficult situations.

Thanks for the positive feedback guys! She passed emissions today !-- was nervous about this one as my 308 GTB QV failed miserably a while back (ended up tagging it as a collector car as it is >25 years old). Always fun to go through emission testing in an F-car :)
Now I have to get the 308 out or she may get jealous... The 355 is a wonderful car indeed ; my daily driver is a 991 Porsche (which I like but utilitarian at best) and it just got a lot duller after this purchase.
