The 914 pick-up is too mainstream for Myron's collection.

 

Love the 914, but I think I'd stick with a V8 if I wanted to haul anything...

Aase Bros made a few of them back in the day.
They had a dark one (not sure if it was brown or aubergine or black), the red one and a /6 one.

The 914/6GT style one up top was done by Gunnar Racing as a nurburgring-like safety car/truck.

Note that all the good ones have 914 interior door handles for the tailgate operation

 

I haven't seen the one in Akron yet, but I'd like to.

 

Only two were made; both were painted brown by Troutman-Barnes originally. I'm happy to show ours to anyone in the northeast Ohio area.

 

I'd love to meet up and see that!
