Sports Car Digest reports CI is moving back to the Bayonet Black Horse site for 2014, and, the bigger news, will move from Friday to Saturday. This will surely impact the Ferrari corral at Laguna, traditionally on Saturday as well. Interesting.

Yes, that is interesting. McDowell flinched. I'm guessing this was sponsor driven.

I think CI doesn't want to compete with Quail...

So they are going to compete with the vintage races?

    That makes no sense.

I suspect they took the date they could get.

They are going to wind up competing with someone, the week is so crowded with events now. At least competing with the vintage races they aren't up against another concors-type show and the cars at the track aren't the same cars that would be at Concorso mostly. Compare that to the Quail where they are competing for some of the same cars to show. I think the move is admitting defeat to the Quail and deciding not to go head-to-head might be a good thing.

This isn't worse than moving it to the airport, is it?
