Don Rose already sent this out on the email list, but I thought I would repeat it here: PLEASE NOTE: The Monza F1 watching party originally scheduled at Boardwalk Ferrari has been CANCELLED! The watching party will be held at the Fox and Hound at Midway and Rosemeade Parkway at NOON on the 8th of Sept. So, we hope to see everyone there for the Italian GP!
Not exactly " canceled " more like never really planned... < wink > Italian Car Fest and drive on Sunday got in the way I think. NOW, if we want to plan the watching party later in the day, say AFTER the ICF drive on Sunday , we can still do something... Since no one has openly RSVP'd yet for FnH Just a thought. S
I made up early & much to my surprise the building is filling up with Football fans. The room has already been reserved, so what the contingency plan? Sent from my TRS-80 using Tapatalk
Scatter to the four winds... The wait staff was no help, our reservation meant nothing. Was that your Mini outside? Sorry, didn't see you in there.
Very sorry about that, race fans. I had that room reserved as of Wednesday this week, but the old manager Joel is gone and the new manager did not want to put the race up ANYWHERE - not just our usual big screens. Not only that, but they did not tell us a word - and they have both my number and Don Rose's number. Just let us show up for nothing. Very shabby treatment indeed. I told him that our group would probably not be back.
I recall studio movie grill used to be very supportive about F1 and Moto GP watch parties. Might be worth a try? Flood all the local forums as a car meet, and it might be successful enough for them to do it regularly.
Ever since we had our "Meet & Greet" in the spring at the Tilted-Kilt, they have been asking us if they an do a watching party for us, SO, maybe we should tell the Fox and Hound "ADIOS" and head to the Tilted-Kilt. What do you think about going to the Kilt on Race day. If you guys think this is Ok then we will look at this option, what about it.
Pretty shabby treatment from a group that has enjoyed our patronage and money for the last 3 months. I remember leaving the FnH after the Belgium race and there were 2 other people in the place. In any event the Tilted Kilt is asking for our business and I think we ought to give them a shout.
I really enjoyed the Tilted Kilt event. I would definitely be game to give them a try for a race watching party.
I have serious moral and ethical issues with establishments that are staffed entirely with scantily-clad, attractive women
I agree, it is sad and pathetic that other restaurants don't allow beautiful woman like this to show more of what mamma gave'em.
Tilted Kilt it is, in my opinion, and I have vowed to never set foot in the Fox & Hound again. It was good while it lasted, but I am just in no mood to put up with this kind of BS treatment. The new manager essentially told me that NFL fans were more important to him than we were - not remembering that we were literally the only Sunday group they had all through spring and summer. But then, there are sports bars all over the place, and I say we move on to Tilted Kilt.
Which TK you guys planning on going to? I could probably come out and meet some of the local Fchat crowd.
