What would it cost to import and ferderalize an F355 from Europe? (2000 model if it matters)

A fried in France found a very unique one I maybe interested in acquiring.

With the $ strong vs the Euro -- the numbers are intriguing.

    thx.

    A 2000 F355 ?

I cannot imagine why importing into the USA would ever be cost effective, when there are plenty (and plenty, and plenty) to chose from here in a variety of price points and service conditions.

Essentially, you'd have to make sure the car had legal headlights, bumpers, door supports and cat exhaust system with appropriate ECU. Again, why would anyone ever consider this? Of course, there are no 2000 355's in the US. The model year ended in 1999 which was shared with the 360.

Whatever that car is, it just can't be worth it. At the end the price will be much more higher than the same examples in the US.
