Yes, it came up like a treat!

It's a shame the pics get pixilated on the forum as they are so much clearer when they aren't reduced.

    Tony, And you don't???

First saw one of our FChat colleges do this at a UK national concours (Dave are you still out there?). I was showing next to to him. Knew I did not stand a chance, when Dave shouted out to his helpers,"..... the judges are looking up the exhaust pipes....", followed by a frensied attack with a spiky brush. I simply stopped polishing the roof of mine, gave up and sat down. Still, got second, so good enough for me. By the time Dave's was back in the garage, the pipes would look the same as mine!

Condor man, she looks great. Glad to see the steeringon the correct side too.
Your not alone in the pipe cleaning retentives.

    Thanks Kevin,

It was even delivered in the right Country too (UK).

There is this metal polishing triangle pad that goes on the end of the electric drill, it is perfect for cleaning the wheels on the 599 without taking them off and also for exhaust pipes...

    Kevin,
If it's the Dave i think you mean, I swear to God that he had that car trailered everywhere it went!!!!!
I dont know who owns it now, as i seem to remember that 2B Automotive sold it intially then it came bact to be sold by them again very soon after.

    Graham,
Yes Dave with the perfect silver grey GTS. Unlike some, Dave did abide by the rules and drive it to the event. Not sure where the car is now.
I wonder how far up the pipes the judges look:)

Please be assured that my car drove to each and every event bar the Autoglym concours at NEC in November when trailering was allowed!!!!!
Hi Kevin good to see that you are still on here, thanks for the defence. I've not been on for a few months and was surprised to see that in my absence I was still getting a mention even though it was libelous!
I sold my car about 18 months ago and it was resold about one month ago, I was passing by the Ferrari Northern Day a couple of months ago and "my" car was sitting there looking great, having had the car for some 32 years it was an emotional reunion.
I understand the car is still in UK in the South of England.
I have always found that once a car is clean it is easy to keep clean the hard part is getting it there in the first place
    Best regards
    Dave

Sorry to derail the OP but as a point of interest I understand that the Griggio GTS previously referred to indeed won its class again this year at the FOC National some 15 years after I first won with it. I have no knowledge as to whether it was trailered to that event or not.

It was indeed trailered to it by 2BC.

Yup, hard to beat the 246. There is some resemblance in the 308 gtb/s but that's about as close as Ferrari got

It always amazes me how much larger Fcars in general got in he last 20 yrs or so. The 4th pic here really shows it. I'm more of a fan of the older ones but that 599 looks fantastic!

I have to say that the 599 is a large car. Feels bigger than my Cayenne!
