I know it won't seem like much to some of you, but realize I have several cars to drive. Today, as I rolled the F355 into the garage the trip odometer clicked 1000. That's 1000 miles with out any problems. The top still goes up and down properly. The door lock, windows, mirrors, headlight, etc all still work as they should. Suspension, check. Run's smooth, starts first try hot or cold. Needless to say, I've been waiting for the preverbal sh*t to hit the fan, but at this point I have as much confidence in the car as I do in my 308, Boxster and 3 series. Very happy I pulled the trigger on this particular car after 3 years of searching.

Good for you, I had my 355 for 3.5 years and had one minor glitch with a slowdown light, reset the computer and it was all good.

Way to go John. I just got mine back from it's first major during my ownership and am looking forward to many trouble free miles ahead. It's nice to see positive threads pop up once in a while to reaffirm confidence in our cars. Thanks...

Although I traded mine for a 575m, before I did I put on 6,000 trouble free miles. Honestly, but for the anxious feelings caused by reading at this forum I probably would have kept the car. I do miss it on a weekend of great weather in the 70's M

I've done about 3000 miles this year (1st season of ownership).

I had one issue - I stuck throttle that I fixed by replacing the bearing in the bellcrank.

Aside from that, it's ran awesome!

I put over 1000 miles on the car in just 2 weeks last month....

NYC Traffic... Stop and Go Hamptons insanity... NJ Shore Traffic.....
The car took it all in stride with no issues at all. They are reliable when treated right..

Good to see more positive comments popping up. I have a bit of a problem with guys complaining about car values while at the same time pontificating about the many and costly problems they have.

Ive put about 3000 on it since Ive owned it. (7 months).

New headers but I knew that was coming and they will all need that done. Thrown CEL on two occasions and I have cleared them and havent returned (yet). I am hopeful that maybe the new headers muddied the waters. I have yet to do a proper reset of the ECU and will do that if/when they come back again.

Taken it on two overnight trips of 200+ mile RT with no issues. The rest of the driving has been fairly local and a lot of it.

Have this rattle in what I think is the drivetrain area but I have yet to get into it. That will be the next project. Hopefully its just that bearing. I am just not 100% sure that is what it is and taking the bumper off, etc. if it isn't would suck.

Overall it has been a blast reliable.

I'm now fast approaching 30,000 trouble free miles with my 348 since I got it 10 years ago. The secret is maintain them well and drive them. I have 100% confidence in my car. I've just returned from a 5 day trip to Monza and Maranello - 2250 miles.

The car took it in its stride - highways, Milan gridlock, Swiss mountain passes and German Autobahns way north of 100 mph for mile after mile. Average mpg 27 Imperial (23 USmpg) A great trip. The car is now champing at the bit waiting for the next one.

Have faith in reliability - but you have to use a car. There's far too much rubbish on these forums about unreliability, mostly on garage queen cars. Use it well and hard and it will reward you with the ultimate driving experience.

I have a 1994 348 Spyder and took the car to Carmel and back last month, an 800 mile round trip. The car ran beautifully and averaged 22.9 miles per gallon. I have owned the car for almost a year and it has 42,000 miles and it has been absolutely fabulous.

22,000 miles on 95 355 GTB since I bought it 7 years ago, they're pretty much rock solid once sorted and driven regularly.
