Good to hear you're enjoying your new F12...not surprising but still nice to get some feedback from an actual owner. And just so you know...the F12 comes with a good dose of standard features including cruise control, navigation, etc.
Exactly! I was shocked to see navigation and cruise control because I didn't order either. Plus as I mentioned the infotainment system is the best yet.
Met with my friend today who has a new Aventador, specked out really nice. We decided to switch cars and go for a drive. His impressions: -he couldn't believe how smooth the transmission was. He said night and day difference than the Aventador. -ease of acceleration. He said its very easy for the car to go fast -interior size is at least double the Aventador and driving visibility was far better -steering was superb and more precise -after 1st gear he felt the F12 was clearly faster in every gear -ride quality was superior -interior quality superior And last but not least when I told him what I paid he said, "Great....my Aventador cost $100k more, as if it could get even worse...."
Thank you. What are your thoughts on the Aventador? I also prefer the F12 but surely there are things to like about the Lamborghini. Just wondering.
Thank you for awesome review. Perfect for someone who has only been in a 360 one time LOL. F12 and 458 are my two favorite cars in the world now so I can only dream of being in your shoes. Please post more pics as the white looks so good. Keep us updated and best of luck with her.
I love the look and design of the Aventador and the Roadster version has more headroom and feels less cramped. The car itself drives "mean" almost as if it is always in a bad mood, which for some of the time is fun. I also like how the rear wing raises and how you can tune it so flames shoot out.
I figured out why the air conditioning is so good in the F12. If you drive with it OFF you can actually get close to 10 mpg. However when it is on with the recirculating button on (which is the default setting) you get like 3 mpg. Lesson: Don't have the recirculating button on if you plan on driving more than 20 miles.
Pedal Distance: I realized tonight that the 458 peddle distance is a lot shorter than the F12. With the F12 you have to push down harder and further. My only guess is this is because the 458 is considered more extreme than the F12?
Maybe because F12 is so fast and powerful, people will get into trouble if they can easily floor it unintentionally?
Are we talking throttle or brake? I think FFForever is right. It has to do with the greater torque and still the more forward placement of the motor. You always need to be progressive with the throttle, but more so with more power.
Yes, thank you and please keep the driving impressions coming. I love reading about it. Its the next best thing to driving it.
I just drove the F12 tonight and for what ever reason it feels more "broken in" for whatever reason. Throttle was more responsive and acceleration seemed more fluid. Reminds me of my FF a little where at once I got close to 500 miles, the whole drive experience seemed to improve and acceleration seemed more aggressive.
F12 is faster in real world conditions than magazines are reporting. Recently walked a modified twin turbo Porsche, 458 and GTR. The car is very very fast!
agreed. its fast in a straight line. high in the revs and above grip worries. i spent all weekend in my f12. i thought i was in love....and then i took the 12c out tonight and bye, bye ferrari, its like a whole different sport in the McLaren. except for the sound of that glorious v12, the f12 has nothing on the McLaren. f12 is sloppy, soft and oversteers at every opportunity. i think they're the perfect pair though, GT and sports car.
You list no Fcars in your profile. Cars wanted: the next one from Maranello. Subscribed but not in the Owners Forum that I can find. Curious. Am wondering if you own a Ferrari. Best
