Meeting Bobby Rahal. Any questions?

I'll have a chance at meeting Rahal this week and was wondering whether you guys have any good questions. I won't be able to ask much, but figured I could throw in a couple.

I'm only interested in F1 related stuff though.

And no, I won't ask why he fired my fav driver Eddie.

 

Any regrets passing Tom Kristensen over for Kenny Brack?

What's his REAL view of Danica.

 

Why do Indy Car owners prefer spec racing in relation to what it once was? (And forget the cost cap nonsense)

They had the $, arguably had some good jockeys & a pretty good design team.

But they still sucked!

This or just a friendly hello or both. I was never a huge fan/supporter of Bobby as a driver but it would be nice to meet him and shake his hand, take pictures!!!

 

Who his toughest opponent was. Also if he considered F1 or attracted any interest from a F1 team

 

I had to check, but he did a couple of F1 races for Wolf in '78. [USA & Canada according to his wiki entry.]

Indeed and I was desperately looking for something related to those that he could sign but came up short. I'll settle for a F1 book instead.

Regardless to me those two races are more interesting than all his Indy stuff.

Anyhow thanks for your pics. They're very good. I believe talent in photography is ageless. You refine your technique and get better equipment as time goes on but your eye for composition is the same. You either have it or not.

 

? His dad raced a Porsche 906/8 back in the day, among other interesting cars. Bobby raced SCCA as well before turning pro. I'd be interested to know if he has any of these cars in his garage.
