Funny how so many people on this board somehow know my situation and my relationship with the owners of Ferrari.

LaFerrari V12 makes 800 hp but that is the result of tuning for higher RPM output at the expense of low speed torque, which is then made up by the KERS electric. Bottom line: 800 hp may be achievable in the F12 but not much fun to drive in traffic :)

You could bolt on a couple of Novitec Superchargers. But then, that might void your warranty!

Great to read your thoughts on the different cars, I met Lapo Elkann at Pebble Beach and he was a pretty funny guy. It's good to hear your opinion of the MP4 as I have one, and I still can't get used to how fast it really is.

This really cracked me up. Why are they garbage? Just not near as thrilling as the F12?

MP4 is amazing and only the people who don't own one are the ones that take shots at it.

Aventador is garbage because the transmission is 10-years behind its competition, just like everything else with Lamborghini.

The Bugatti has to be the biggest waste of money of all time since they have not upgraded the car for the past 8-years besides painting it different colors to brain wash people into buying it. Also you want to talk about "sterile", then the Bugatti is the definition of sterile.

Great to read your opinions, especially from someone who owns these cars.

Wow!! Brutally honest! For the record- I agree on the 12C/Aventador comments. Never seen a Bugatti let alone ride in one. Stock 12C Vs. Stock F1z2: My money would be on the 12c.

    Ritesh- 12C owner.

dead wrong about the BUGATTI. greatest supercar ever built. fullstop.

but spot on about Lambo and 12c

the BUG is not even fair to compare to the others and if you do, it just makes me think you are not a driver. which is fine.

The F12 that Motor Trend tested had New Jersey manufacturer plates....no way in hell Ferrari would send a magazine a bad performing car....I smell BS.

Lone Wolf do you own a Bugatti? How many miles have you driven one? Have you driven both models?

Oh snap! What a thread! I'm going to start hanging out here rather than in the plebeian 458 section!

    Fabulous collection, BTW.

Sid, well done on your collection, great effort! Doubtless the combination of luck and a huge amount of hard work. Kudos indeed!

Can you share your thoughts on the FF?

The FF is an incredible piece of equipment. You can go to dinner with four people and then drag race just about anything on the way home.

Storage space is tremendous, ride quality is tremendous, sound, engine noise, handling etc are all fabulous.

Also it is very low profile so the average person does not even realize it is a Ferrari.

I have purchased three of them, so obviously I "get" what Ferrari was trying to do.

The one recommendation I would make would be to get the glass roof.

Everyone seems impressed when they get in and see the whole roof is glass.

It gives the car a whole different feel!

Thanks, appreciate the thoughts. I'd be very interested to hear how you rate it against your other Fcars. I've owned a 612 and 599 and prefer the FF. Like most people, however, I'm constantly looking to scratch that itch that comes with new cars, the grass being greener on the other side etc. Perhaps you can save me the trouble, and a few $'s.

    Best,
    John

i do not own the BUG, yet

but i have spent 5 days with, GS and Vitesse, total. with andy wallace and butch leitzinger.
probably 250miles. even drove a GS in light snow!

the car is without rivals. nicer than a rolls inside and faster than anything outside. and its not just speed, its stability. i did 0-120mph in my 12c last night and the thing is cool but its wobbling all over the place, the BUG, you dont even have to hold the steering wheel....

i have a similar collection to yours. love the 12c. but come on, all those others are cars, the BUG is....well, i'm not really sure what to call it?

and i also do agree with you about the Bug being 'old tech' and not very updated. but then again there really isnt much to do to it.
