As seen on page 10 of August's Classic & Sportscar magazine......"Ferrari P3/4 sets the palermo streets alight"...... so seems they accept it for what it is ;)

    From the New Creation thread:
Are we "dreaming" about 0846 still being alive, or alas, has it (quoting the Monty Python parrot sketch), "ceased to be"?

Mark Twain also said, "reports of my death have been greatly exagerated". Have the reports of the death of 0846 been "greatly exagerated" as well? Or are the reports accurate? The debate continues.

I am pleased to report that last weekend at The Classic Le Mans Auction I was lucky enough to buy lots 20 and 21 which included a complete set of scrutinising documents on every car that raced at Le Mans in 66 and 67 including 0846, 0854, and J6. The documents are VERY interesting confirm many things I've posited for years. Nothing like original documents...

    :)

Are you planning on amending your 0846 pdf to include some of this original information? I think it would be very interesting to see.

No she returned to the US after the Historic Targa. There are new photos of her at the Historic Targa on the Ferrari Owners S.p.A. Website as well as the Historic Targa Thread here if you want to see how she looks now.

She may be back at Le Mans next June for the 40th Anniversary if you want to see her in the Alloy.

Compare the nose and tail with the car you saw to these photos and you'll probably note the difference.

Will 00846 be at Concorso Italiano as part of their Targa Florio deal?

    Hi Jim,

I guess that's the modern Le Mans edition, not the Classic Le Mans? So far the Classic Le Mans has been a bi-annual event but they could ofcourse make an exception for the 40th anniversary? I can't find anything on their site though.

    Best regards, Peter

anyone else here wonders how Mr. G. manages to have any time to sleep! :)

seems with you have going on with the Ferraris, that the Duesy , Lola and J6 would be getting lonely!

    best :)

Hey, all, I've been working on the Wikipedia article referenced about 8 million posts back. I've been Wiki-ing a long time, and wrote MANY of the Ferrari articles there to get the ball rolling. I'm so pleased with the resource of this board as the Ferrari racing models can be devilishly hard to understand! I've already made huge edits to the 330 P article based on this thread alone.

I wanted to check in and let you all know that I was reading (kind of voyeuristic to be reading and not let folks know) and that I've been working with your very own Napolis on improving the information at Wikipedia on the 330 P3/4.

I also wanted to invite you knowledgeable folks over there to look at the Ferrari articles with an eye on improving their quality and content! I'd be happy to help with any wiki tasks (I'm an editor there) if that's needed.

    So please come on over!

    Ped Xing!

You just don't realize how SMALL these cars are until you see someone trying to get out of it! Nice to hear that engine, if only a little bit. Now how about some video of that fine Dino, too?
