Just out of curiosity... under what circumstances would anyone here buy a car from Copart? All they handle are total losses, is that correct? So I'm thinking:

a.) You have to not care about resale value at all - unless you live in a state where you can get a legit "rebuilt" title with proper rebuild documentation.

b.) It would have to a be a wreck, or a theft recovery, and not "flood damage" as the cause of the total - since at least with a wreck (and to a lesser extent, theft recovery), you at least have a general idea of what you're getting into, based on the visible damage... with water damage, you have no fricken' clue.

c.) Or, alternately, it could be something so unique that you just never come across as being available for sale & so you decide you just have to have it, no matter what.

    What else?

The salvaged titles vehicle could be considered a parts bin on wheels for another car in one's stable too. That one is at a current bid of $2500. I do not know what it will go for in the end, but if somebody has a similar car and has a parking space, that is a lots of parts for a long time.
