They are available at any auto parts store with the sealed beam headlights. There is a low beam H4351, and a high beam...H4352.

Hmmm, on the 348 I like it. Makes me think of an F40, they fit the body style. I don't they'd hold mesh well with the F355 fascia though.

    Looks good.

Why are you going back to pop ups?
    How much weight is saved?

I like it best in black. I think you should make a full set and try it for a few months. See how she performs at night. Overall, I'd give it a solid A grade. It looks aggressive and tough. Rock on dude!

the original motor/lamp units are 10 lbs. each. These come out about 2 lbs. Total savings would be about 16 pounds, give or take... equivalent to about 2 1/2 gallons of gas.

I owned a 1993 camaro, so I know exactly what you mean. Back in the late 80s and 90s MANY cars had a black painted area around the headlights. So, to me black just looks more "factory". I do agree red does look better, but I want modifications to look like it could have been done at the factory. Since our 348s are 80s styling, black seems to go better with the era of the car. Anyway, black matches your grill and chin spoiler.

Now, we just need to find someone who makes projector beams in the H4351 & H4352 housings. ;)

I like it. I prefer the red bucket.

Another variation that might look cool would be to cover the inner half of the bucket, so it's only one light wide. Would need a two filament bulb to make it work though.

I like them in black, but then, er, my car is black too. ;)

On your car, red looks best.

Here's a quick photo edit of the one headlight idea. Not practical, because it would require creating a new hood, or ruining the old one.

Hmmmm.... looking at it again, it may be a little Gallardo-esque. I like the way the taper of the lens approximates the angle on the fog light though.

Bleh. Doesn't keep the period-correct look we are seeking.

    It looks kind of weird.

I don't like it, but I understand where you were going with it. How about some 458-ish stkye headlights? I wonder what that photoshop would look like?
