I appreciate everyone's insight here. Much appreciated. Thank you.
No, that's Ted Hermann's body shop I believe. his son went to school with me but no, we don't own it.
Your opinion is worth nothing....go learn how to drive I base this on you opining that the 348 is boring! My god...what next? Is your opinion going to tell you that the frog eyed porsche is better looking than a 348? Go away
Anything can go wrong at any time with older cars...things wear out. If you are prepared financially (in addition to what is learned here), you will be ahead of the game.
i remember when i brought my 911 home and really started really looking at it, and thought " how cheap and cheesy" i guess they don't want to make the guys who love an old 911 feel out of place . well it worked. i remember one of my mechanics saying " oh look you bought a beetle" i laughed and said ya right, a beetle. then every time i drove it i said to myself " damn its a frigging beetle"
When I had a 951 (944 Turbo) I heard that's a hot rod VW all the time. It was still fun to drive. Put over 300k on the car with minimal repairs. But not even close to the feeling of driving my Ferrari!!
That's over 10,000 cars a year! Very elite crowd. Don't get me wrong, Porsche makes an exceptional car and I would own one again but there is no comparing the two. If your just in it for the bang for the buck, don't buy a 20+ year old car, ever. If your interested in owning a piece of a legacy then your in the right crowd! Just my 2 cents, what do I know.
I'm with you there, just giving the guy the benefit of the doubt on the 997/360 since they're of the same era.
Whether people agree or not, I find the below very helpful as I have a 997 Turbo and have too wondered about adding a 348/355.
If you are going to spew extremely negative comments about Ferrari's on a Ferrari Chat board, you should expect to be beat down! Quite obviously the poster has no idea about what owning/driving a Ferrari is ALL about. Go drive the VW, Oh I mean Porsche and stay off a Ferrari website.
