991 Turbo would have probably been more appropriate...

a 458 instead of the F12 (GT vs sports cars? fixing the game if you ask me) would have been a more apt head to head.

    So...

Who wins if you sub the 991 turbo and the 458 Italia?

Isn't the F12 faster than the 458 on the track?

The F12 was faster on the track. But as the evaluators concluded, the slowest car was the best driver's car in the 911. The 458 is a great driver's car and it would have been nice to pit best against best.

Like the evaluators, fastest track times don't equal best driver's experience or the most soul in a great road car.

What the best drivers car is, is really just a matter of opinion and the needs you have for a car. Fastest around a track means nothing to me (no track in my neighborhood) 0-60 means very little too (not doing any drag racing) HP and Torque matter but in the end I found that after keeping track I hit 70mph only once in 30 days worth of driving. End up going around 40 mph 75% of the time (either because of traffic, speed limit etc.)So for me the best drivers car is one that makes me feel good under the conditions I drive.

the reason 458 wasn't included was because they were testing new models, the 458 isn't a new model the 911 C4S was introduced earlier this year and the C7 and F12 were not provided on time for the original MT best driver's car. They (MT) discussed this on the original video. The year that the 458 came out (2011), it actually won if i'm not mistaken.
