The styling themes we are wrestling with for SCG 003 and SCG 003C are trying to make something that is classically beautiful but very efficient aerodynamically. The extremes of that scale are curvey 60's sports cars like our P 3/4 and a Jaguar XKE and a Hypertechnical Audi LMP1. We're also trying for something that is a stand alone design not an Hommage. Thoughts?

Very excited to hear this!!! There was a time for 60s and 70s design, the 60s and 70s.....
I hope you guys push the envelope and create something fast, yet beautiful. Luckily you will not be forced to slap weird looking headlights on one of the most beautiful cars made in a long time (Alfa 4C) by accountants.

The design you showed me when I visited was quite pretty. I would try to shy away from the fenders like on the P1 cars and the Veneno, where the aero is speaking loudest and the car ends up looking almost like an F1 car with hats on the wheels.

First thing I'd do is look up all the best looking but also most aerodynamically efficient small cars that have come out in the past 50, 60 years. Take inspiration from Abarth, Osca, the Alfa TZ's... Cars that were small but packed a punch. I happen to love the TZ2 and if I remember you had some of Spada's drawings for it up on the wall in your garage.

I don't know Ellen, but Sam is a true gentleman; a man of character; a Renaissance man.

I also had the pleasure of buying lunch for David Hobbs when he was in town--I literally bumped into him in a bookstore. He is a walking encyclopedia.

    The photo is great.

Things are moving along. Remember when I talked about using GPS in P 4/5 C to let the car know at what exact corner it was and when the driver went to 100% braking armed the KERS so that when the driver came out of the turn he got 4 seconds of KERS boost the next time he went to 100% throttle?

The place you have to go is to the race car show in Cologne. You can really learn a lot. What if you learned that what we did has been refined by Porsche and BMW to change the TC and anti skid for EVERY corner based on GPS?

    Truth in engineering...

Our TTV6 is developing nicely. Styling is moving along and I'm very happy with it. What an adventure.

Great styling meeting! I'm very happy and excited. Gave my input and big aero meeting on Friday.

We should be moving to wind tunnel models soon.

    Engine Development coming along nicely.

    Engineering progressing.

Hi Jim! Was looking through some of my photos from Monterey, and spotted something in this one of you speaking with FS in the McLaren hospitality tent. That computer render wouldn't happen to have something to do with this project, would it?

Very good Engineering/Design meeting. Aerodynamicists, engineers and designers are working well together on looks, mechanical components, packaging and aero. We're really excited. Teaser being worked on.

So does that make this the teaser for the teaser? :D

    All the best,

Things are really coming together nicely. Our major challenge is melding LMP1 with GT in a way that works well on our race version and looks good on our road version.

    exciting times...

I saw some of your Facebook updates...

I knew about Newey's x2014, but this is the first I've ever seen anything of the Allard J2X (images attached) - what a cool looking car! Is this the direction you're going in? :)

    All the best,
    Andrew.
