ZFFDU57A140133309 crashed a few months ago and was then for sale by IAAI. Not sure what it went for. Now it's on Ebay for $69900 (Buy-it-Now), with 4 wheels instead of 3 (although one is a 360 Modena wheel). The damage is cleaned up a bit aswell. ...looks like they put a 360 corner - so add Ti spring, CCM rotor and caliper to the other items on the shopping list (and Ti wheel bolts)...starting to get a little more pricey
Have a blast, Jim! Can't wait to check out Spring Mtn track when I do Radical Racing School. Here's a recent pic from just a typical day in the "Himalayas". Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Best would be to ask Stokpro which cars he would recommend to ensure your buying experience ends up being positive and rewarding.
The was in the Himalayas a few weeks ago and was able to spot the Stradalama with my binoculars. It was only briefly and it may have been an altitude induce hallucination, but I'm pretty sure I spotted him full throttle, on the edge of adhesion, in a late apex passing Massa.
Inventory is up but so are prices. 19 CS's currently for sale. Couple new ones added recently. - 2200mi red w/ black alcantara for $179k - 4400mi red w/ black leather for $184k Also, Black Horse Motors 3k mile red w/ factory stripe now $199.9k.
Art, did you buy it? LOL!! That was a fun day. Next time Massa will roll his window down for h20skier.
Good memory! Last time we've seen this high number was week of Oct. 31st in 2011 with 22 for sale and avg. asking of $148k. Today avg. ask is $163k. Low inventory for this year was 10 in week of Jan. 21st.
Hi, I was wondering if anyone knows anything about this car. I apologize if it's already been discussed, but would appreciate some feedback. Used 2004 Ferrari Challenge Stradale For Sale | Beverly Hills CA Thanks, Skipp
Beautiful car and comes with a powertrain warranty till late may next year. If you havent already, PM Stokpro. He'll give you the lowdown on this motor. edit....did a little research myself. Looks like it was for sale back in jan for $10k less. More miles and for sale for more money.....buy now while you can if you can. http://www.challenge-stradale.com/139598.html
I sat in it about a few weeks ago. It looked very clean, but the red leather on the bulkhead behind the seats was a little much for me in an otherwise understated example. Also, I think the car has been there for a while.
Thanks for the responses. I've started looking for one of these and am very glad I found this thread. At least it doesn't appear to be a "stories" car. If any one else has any info, I'd love to hear it. Thanks again, Skipp
Can anyone comment on the ride quality of the CS? Is it similar to a GT3 ? Is the car a street car that is good on the track too, or a track car that is ok on the street. In other words, does it beat you up on less than perfect roads to where you might get tired of the ride quality as a weekend driver? Any insight is much appreciated. Thanks
I drive my CS about 20 minutes around town and I'm ready to get out. On the freeway and the twisties in the mountains I can go all day. The CS will scrape on odd angles. Speed bumps are a pain in the ass. The extra effort to drive it on city streets gets old fast. People constantly take pictures In both traffic and when it's parked. It gets stressful sometimes and I'll just park it and get back in the rover. I would imagine it's probably similar in a 430 though.
The ride is extreamly stiff. You will feel every little crack. It doesnt bother me but I cant help but to think it's bothering the car. lol I get the feeling the car does not like city driving and dorking around town. In an area where you can escape red lights and high traffic, it really comes into it's own. Like Jason, if I do get tired of driving it, I'll park it and drive the Viper truck.
