Sean Edwards killed in Porsche crash at Queensland Raceway - GT news - AUTOSPORT.com I've been following this guy's activities for the last 2 years or so. He was FANTASTIC IMO. He was the first one in the world to take Eau Rouge flat out in a GT car (991 supercup). Absolutely devastating. All round awesome guy he was. Thoughts with his family, friends and girlfriend.
Also a note to the driver he was coaching; he remains in critical conditions in intensive care with extensive burns. It took 3 hours to get him out of the wreckage. Sean appears to have been killed on impact.
RIP Sean, one of the best in the world. died as a passenger. you just never know when your time is up.
R.I.P Sean Edwards. A very nice driver of his generation and very polite person. He will be sadly missed by many in motorsport. Very sad......
this is sad. i was just reading about him last night since he was driving the porsche rescue car in the movie rush, and also drove the car his father was driving in that fateful race in 76.
Very sad indeed. We know the risks involved with racing but it's still shocking when a driver is lost. https://twitter.com/SeanEdwardsR/status/389489528626356225
Nice piece from Chris Harris, the two where quite good friends: Sean Edwards: PH Blog - PistonHeads Must've been hard for him to write this .
Wow - Same here, this morning. Didn't know Guy's history when I talked to him over 15 years ago about his book, nor about his son until reading the piece on Rush. RIP, Sean.
