A couple of weeks ago, when it was starting to rain, I put the top up on my 87' cab. "SNAP" The bracket that the top attaches to, made of pot metal breaks off. After finding a few blocks of scrap aluminum, I start sawing and filing. It isn't elegant or beautiful, but should be functional, as the only way to buy these are in the $400+ latch kit.

That's why I have a mill. Makes the same product, but it looks a little better. However, well done with what you had.

Thanks for the link Dave. In my search, I couldn't find the individual piece. (I searched under 3.2, which doesn't list the part separately. It does list it in the T section, sigh). Kind of makes my efforts rather pointless. I think I will pick up a couple to have a spare.

When I read the title, other than missing the hammer, I thought this was a site about working on Fords!!!LOL ( and we know how Enzo felt about the Fords....).........

Nice fabrication work though.................I sometimes have trouble finding parts on the Ricambi site, but shoot them an email, they always respond within a couple of hours with a link to the part. Great customer service.

    Regards,
    Jerry

Damn nice for an ad-libbed home fab job!

Riccambi has saved my bacon before, and so has T. Rutlands!

Yours will not break in half on a winter day when the top has shrunk and the tab won't fit.
