Were all of the plenum mounting nuts easy to reach? Without walking out and looking at my car, out of memory, I feel like the nuts towards the center would be extremely difficult to reach. Did you have to remove the access panel behind the seats for this job?
Thanks for the info, nice write up. Thank you for taking the time to document it!

Here's the secret to getting the nuts off in 15 minutes. :) combine with electric driver and its REALLY quick. Extension set and flexible joint set at Harbor freight = $25 bucks or so..

Once the fuel rails are off, it's a piece of cake. I did have to remove the access panel in order to reach the hoses in front of the plenum. But I have a spider. I believe you do not have to do that with the coupes.

Did you do anything to the inlet butterfly valves while it was off? Heard you can use loctite in some manner to quieten them down but have never seen how this is exactly used?

The butterfly valves wasn't chattering on mine so I ignored it. The plenum cover is easy to remove so I'll wait and see. My motto is if it ain't broken don't fix it!

Two more things to check while you're there. Put a straight edge against the opening of the runners and check for gaps. If you see a gap, the only way to correct it is to have it machined.

Due to the oil vapor, the brake booster check valves on my spider was sticky. That explain why my brakes are biting late. Not good when you're driving fast! I sprayed some carb cleaner into each valve and blow it out with compressed air and then let it dry out before reassembly. And it looks like Ferrari was aware of the problem and relocated the check valve.

I'm happy to report that after spending about 20 hours working on my 360 that it's running like new! It idle smooth, no hesitation or bucking when shifting and very quick throttle response. If you're getting CEL, intermittent misfires, bucking on acceleration or from a standing start, you might want to check the condition of your intake running gaskets before you replace anything else!

There is a way to check the gaskets if you are in doubt, just let the car at idle and spray carburetor cleaner to the base of the intakes where the gaskets are. If the idle changes, in any way during spraying, then you know ...

An FYI, if you accidentally drop the Crank Position Sensor o-ring and it disappears (of course).. Ferrari only sells it as a complete part with the sensor. Porsche part 99970740440 is identical available from he dealer for $5 or online for $2-3.
