Fifty five years after I saw my first and promised myself one someday.
While I could (should have given the price run up) have bought one earlier I waited until I had the time to enjoy it fully and only after doing a lot of research.

Bought my 330 2+2 in late 2002, just turned 53. $32.5K was a deal compared to the 1999 era, outrageous next to prices in the '70s.

27, picked my 308 up a few months ago. I bought a Biturbo at 23, First car was a 1970 Ford Torino GT, and although I usually get a beater, after a 6 months to a year of ownership the cars leave my hands in decent shape. Not sure what I plan to do with this one. I like it, but most of the Ferraris I REALLY want are older, and skyrocketing in price. Trading up may require me to leave Ferrari for a little while.

Bought my 1966 330GT 2 + 2 when I was 32 for 5500. Went with the 4 seater to accommodate my 2 young sons. Sold it 6 years later for 7500. It's still alive and well, and often think it would be nice to park next to my 550. Same color. Then I woke up!

For my 48th 4 weeks ago I bought my first Ferrari. 2014 Nero 458 Italia. This was after 2 Gallardos...first at 40, 2nd at 44. Prior to that lots of Porsches, Vipers, AMGs, Ms, Vettes (in my 20s), a GT-R, a NSX, a Rx-7 and a Supra TT. It's been fun and I am not done yet!

Did the same, bought my 348 in 2005 when I was 25. Was a Birthday present to myself. :D

I had to wait until 25 because no insurance company would insure it for me if I were under 25 years old.

I was 21 when I bought my '70 XKE Roadster, a great car to look at but it really didn't run very well.

I was 33 when I bought my 308 in 2008. My money. I could have had one earlier than that but I wanted a Blue GTB.
    Bought my 355 this year @ 39.
Still have both plus a few other toys.

I started saving when I was 18 with the goal of buying a 308 by the time I was 35. At 35 I decided to buy a lake house instead, and postpone the Ferrari to 40. I bought it sight unseen with cash 3 weeks before my 40th birthday, then picked it up and drove it 1700 miles home the day after my birthday.

The water pump blew halfway home, a $1700 repair less than 24 hours into ownership.

Wow I am surprised I was late to join the party bought my first Ferrari in my mid 50s although I have always owned performance cars bought my first Corvette at 21 with money I earned and have owned about 40 corvettes since then (own about a dozen or so now) ... but a few years ago I got the Ferrari bug and Now I am all in .. I love all of them ...
I think I became so aware of corvettes that I kind of got bored with them having owned just about every model and engine etc...so I went to FOW with a body of mine who was ordering a new FCAR and got hooked spending all day at a ferrari dealer can be dangerous a couple of months later I had my first ferrari a California and so the story goes on.......
