Does anyone know how to wire in a stand alone to the Bosch Motronic 2.7 in a F355 without making a new harness. Does anyone have a pinout by any chance?

It won't be easy. You do realize that there are TWO identical ecus and operating systems, essentially two four cylinder engines. Its a Ferrari thing, they did it for years.

I know there are two ECUs and don't care how hard its going to be. I want to know if there is a way to tie one stand alone into both ECUs.

Did the guy who built the twin turbo F355 in Australia, start out with a 2.7?? Didn't he use a Motec? Was it a 2.7??

Regardless of what kind of ECU he used, I am looking for how to wire in the stand alone. It all goes to the same place, you still have to wire in the stand alone ECU to the stock ECUs.

The reason they did it for years was that the ECUs were only capable of a certain number of spark firings per second, and ferrari engins turned more RPMs than the competition, sometimes with more cylinders. So, in order to use off-the-shelf (sort of) parts, 2 were used.

Thanks Mitch. I'm referring all the way back to 308s with two coils, two advance mechanisms, two sets of points, two ballast resistors, and before that V12s that were really 2 six cylinders.

I think the principle is the same, the dwell in the distributor and the rise time in the coil correlating to the speed of the ecu.

    Hi Scott,
Did you have any luck in finding the Pinout for the Motronic 2.7?

I am trying to do the same job and would very much appreciate any information you may be able to let me have or to point me in the right direction.

    Thanks for your time,
    Steve Bradford.

Search is your friend. It's been published here before so you can use the search function, or google "motronic 2.7 pinouts". You'll get there!
