You're going to have a real "Garage Mahal" when finished. I'm Jealous!
No challenge with that car lift + vaulted ceilings... you could park an SUV up there. I have a 4 post lift and I have some comments for the others on this thread contemplating getting one. If you have the usual flat ceiling and you plan to stack 2 cars using the lift, measure VERY carefully. It's not easy squeezing 2 cars on top of each other in a normal size garage. The lift is pretty thick, so between that and garage doors, what seemed like a lot of space can get used up fast. The convertable top has to be down on the F-car on top to get it and my station wagon stuffed in there. If you're handy with tools and you have a typical low hanging, chain drive door, go to Youtube and search "garage doors and car lifts" and you can see my half-assed but cheap way to solve that problem. The 4 post lifts themselves are pretty easy to install. It's the 2 post ones that require the engineering/ proper floor strength, bolting etc. Finally, if you're gonna do a lot of mechanical work, you might find the optional casters to be helpful. You can raise the car, then move the whole rig around the shop (with effort...) Very handy if dropping an engine etc.
If you're only going to use the lift for mechanical work, but not to store a car, then a 2 post lift would be superior.
My $0.02 worth. Congrats on a great garage!

Love it! Makes me want to remodel my garage, which I need to badly. What a great place to start and finish each day before and after work. Is the lift bolted to the floor? I bet the sound is good in there too.

The Lift is not required to be bolted. As a matter of fact it can be put on wheels and moved around. Its a pretty ingenious design. Yes the sound is fabulous. Four speakers mounted in the ceiling. The flat screen smart TV gets installed next week. Pizza and beer sound like a great start to the Winter Garage tour!! It will be a nice productive Winter. Jon, that garage looks great!
I don't what ramps came with your 4 post lift. If they are the welded steel type that feel like 3 tons and you get tired of lifting them and need some cheap and lighter alternatives, let me know.

You bet. Thanks for the thought. They are pretty heavy but at this point they are not too heavy. ,Maybe when I am older :) What a cool garage in Florida. !!!

My first alternative was a set of those plastic car ramps used for changing oil, cut down and modified to clip on like the steel ones. About 1/20th the weight. Now I have two stout squares of plywood permanently attached on hinges that just flip down. Way better!
