I wonder if the people that say thats a high mileage Scud, or saying its gonna have this issue and that issue are actually scud owners? I also believe that most scuds dont ever see the track, most owners just want the car to drive around the block on a sunny sat afternoon. Or they take it straight to a fancy restaurant and come back.
I'd be willing to bet that most Scuds do NOT see track time more than a handful of HPDE's over their life. Even then, I'd bet most people only drive 50-75% of it's true potential which is hardly a workout. As track cars, these cars are ridiculously expensive to maintain and repair and if people were/are buying these specifically to track, why not buy the Challenge car instead? For me, I'll probably never track my Scud since I drove one on track before I owned. Instead, I'll be driving a car that is cheaper to maintain and rewarding to drive like an Exige, M3, GT3, etc.
