I recently purchased a 2000 360 Spider and I'm slowly going through it top-to-bottom (therefore, be prepared for more novice questions on this board!).

I found what looks like an interior or seat frame piece tucked under the driver's seat this morning (see attached pic). Does anyone know where it belongs?

    Thanks,
    John

That is the battery hold-down bracket. The battery is located under the passenger side footplate, and is secured by that bracket and two studs. Someone removed/replaced the battery and did not install the bracket.

A battery holder. I would check to make sure the battery is not moving around when you make turns....

Found the mount points, thanks! Now I'm missing one of the fasteners!

You can get the J bolts at most any auto parts store.

Check under the metal plate the battery sits on. The threaded posts and nuts can fall under easily but are not easy to retrieve.

+1. The nitwits that had mine prior had the J-rods and the nuts just fallen into the battery compartment. They might even be there..
