    I'm prepared to be corrected but was there a Euro for 1979 - certainly 1976 (ref = 124/76) - maybe 1978 = 163/78 - both with red cover & yellow horse - I think a friend has the former spare - Paul Baber is showing the 76 @ £ 450 - pm offer if interested & I'll forward

Hi greyboxer, now I'm confused, you might be right. My car came with a '78 owner manual and the car is a late '79. I just assumed that somewhere along the line it was lost and someone dropped in a '78.

Can anyone shed a little light??

    Thanks

No model years in Europe, just year of production and new OMs were often not published unless there were sustantial changes. There were few, if any, for 1979 as production wound down for the Mondial.

That has not changed. My 2004 US 575M came with a 2002 OM.

I am missing 163/78, latest I have is 144/76 that I got off of ferraridatabase.com. If anyone has a soft copy of 163/78, we can send it to Ben Deetman, who runs the site, so everybody can use it.

Incidentally, if you register your 308 GT4 with ferrari.com, that will give you access to the owners manuals for the 308 GT4 only.

Some years had updates as inserts in an older manual if there were important changes but not enough to produce a completely new manual. I think I saw that for 81 in a 1980 manual.
