Interesting overview from the BBC The question is not who can stop Vettel but who will stop Bernie lol! BBC Sport - Bernie Ecclestone: F1 chief has never been more powerful
It's amazing how distracted Bernie (and to a greater degree Max Mosley) is by the media. They just can't seem to help themselves from making any sort of statement. Even with Bernie's usually one word answers, he's probably driving his lawyers nuts. On another site this morning, it is revealed that Bernie admitted on the stand that he paid money to team owners Jordan, Prost and Walkinshaw in order to get them to sign off on a new Concorde Agreement. The old "I'm a crazy old man, I don't know what I'm doing" ploy, egh? Ecclestone paid 'bribes' to Formula One team bosses | News | Motorsport.com BHW
Love him or hate him, he is THE MAN! From the BBC article linked in the first post; Gotta hand it to him! How the hell does he get SIX votes!? Having said that, if the stories are to be believed, he didn't want the engine change - Many "someones" must therefore have out-voted him on that one.... Cheers, Ian
I think that is the major question for next year Ian. How exactly did the motor change survive Bernie's scrutiny. Possibly because the new arrangement you highlighted did not yet exist??
Yeah, I think you're probably correct. I don't recall exactly when the changes went through, but I guess the new regs were already in place prior to this. Cheers, Ian
+2 Didn't try watching earlier as the Beeb's Iplayer thingy often whines about me being in the States. The one in the article is ok though. Wish we could hear exactly what he said upon being deposited back outside....... Cheers, Ian
I've said it before and I'll say it again: Bernie will never die because the Devil's too scared to face him and God doesn't want to have to give up power!
