Yes. They all look fine and I have checked all 4 of them. I asked someone else to turn the key every time and every actuator is testing itself like it should. But the light still stays on.

Sometimes the plastic gear inside can 'look' ok, but will have a split and will 'skip' over the gear on the shock. It will do this until the plastic gear eventually breaks completely.

one could still be bad even though they "test" themselves on key cycle. When they cycle they move back an forth looking for the stopping points each direction. When they find the stopping point each direction then they know the full range of adjustment and therefore where the middle setting is and such. If they are not seeing the normal range of rotation (about 270 degrees of a turn IIRC) then they don't know what to do and will throw the light. If there is something wrong with the shock that restricts or allows more than the 270 rotation then you have a problem. If the motor in the actuator is going bad and becomes jerky then it can't correctly determine the 270 range it is looking for and you have a problem.

Most of this was explained to me by captainZ. CaptainZ can repair everything but the actual motor in the actuator. He does see the motor go bad (one of my four were "jerky") but that is not common.

If your speedometer stops working or is a bit jerky it would suggest your spedo sensor (located near side of tranny on left side of LHD cars) is going. If that sensor is going or gone it will also make the Suspension light come on since the Suspension ECU is not getting an accurate signal for the speed of the car. The first time the Suspension light came on my car it was due to the Spedo Sensor. The next time it was the actuator in the front left which is a pain to get to. Anyway another thing to consider if the actuators themselves appear to be fine.

I have found that if you let the car idle to long the light will come on,but as soon as i start moving the light goes out. Try driving the car.

Ron, if for some reason Captain Z is unable to fix yours, as was the case with mine, I know a guy in Glendale that may have one cor sale of a. dry low mileage car. He had two and I bought 1 of the. Prove was very reasonable, I think it was $250. Had it in the car 3 months and it cleared the light right up and no problems since.
