    Here is a link to my other passion, custom knives. Almost all of these makers make usable knives but you won't see me whittling with them. They really are more jewelry than knives. You can spend from $500 to $100K for some very fine knives. Enjoy

    My brother in law makes them. He uses cocobolo wood for the handles. Very nice. I can't find any pics on the internet of them. Oh well. He only sells them around where he lives. Ask for a Larry Detloff knife next time your in a knife shop in the central coast of California.

    My dad has been collecting for years, and has too many to count. They're amazing. He got us all a folding knife from this guy:
