Good post. I especially liked this bit: "The F355 bridges the gap between the classic old school Ferrari and the modern high tech models without being too much of either and that is a nice place indeed."

    Nice entry!

Slightly off topic but what the heck...I took my F355 GTS on the goldRush Rally this past summer and was surrounded by all of today's modern exotics and ultra luxury cars. On more than one occasion a spectator would quietly approach me at a gas stop or hotel parking lot and tell me that the F355 was their favorite of the bunch. :)

Just so you know, it's the 348 Brotherhood, and the 355 hair gel squad.

    LOL! :p :D

Lol thanks Ernie, the 348 is what started my love affair with Ferrari so maybe I can be an honorary member of the brotherhood : )

Nice post Elliott. The F355 and the 355F1 are both elegant and seemingly timeless in their design. The only thing that really dates the car are the flip up headlights. On the other hand, I find it to only add to it's charm. Good luck in pursuing your, "Hero," car down the road.

Great point in regards to the character of the "pop-up" lights. This really defines an age of cars from late 70's to late 90's, a performance trend for aerodynamics. In much the same way that LED running lights of today will likely be a trend and go out of use in the future.

While great to be timeless in much of it's design, the F355 truly has added character of its day and age with the "pop-ups".
