Weird question...Walter Medlin content

I am trying to get more info on this car and came across the name of Walter Medlin.If you want some of the story on a very colorful Ferrari collector,Dino 206 008, P4 0844 etc, Google Walter Medlin Kisssimmee Florida.He was associated with some other well known Ferrari names and did some fancy things with large amounts of money and had fun with the IRS

 

Seems Mr Medlin is back in trouble with the IRS...

Was the collection ever sold off or restored after the hurricane? Seems that it or part of it might become vulnerable (yet again) given the reported charges.

 

Some Medlin stories would be interesting.

 

Medlin knows how to manipulate the IRS. He will be fine. So will the cars.

 

Authorities filed a nearly $3 million lien against Medlin in 2004 and seized his 1967 Ferrari 330 P4, a historic and rare car valued by some at the time at $10 million, for unpaid taxes and fees.

That Ferrari was going to be auctioned in 2005, until Medlin paid nearly $3 million he owed in back taxes since the late 80s.

Thanks. I'm aware of most of the published stories, was hoping someone would have some unknown real world hanging with Medlin stories.

I've always been interested in the legend as he seems to be one of the original Ferrari collectors who bought the cars because he seemed to be a devoted enthusiast.

 

Walter is a good guy who likes Ferraris. Not reclusive at all, just selective.

Seems to be a true collector in my book. I've always respected his early interest in the great cars. At one point seemed to be quite active in getting them out there for the public to see.

 

May once have been, but his current position is to let the cars rot in a half torn down barn. Not very cool.

 

Yes then you drool all over yourself when one of these "barn finds" surfaces.

 

Most likely way more than I do.

 

Not the same when a roof structure collapsed on it.

 

Really..........I know a well known collector who was happier than crap when he bought a 250gt Cab that was about 18" high.

 

It's my understanding the cars are together, but now out-of-state.
