Its really just a whored out 599 with really no significance and an inflated price tag.

I swear sometimes Ferrari is as bad as GM.

Ferrari: We have a racing driver inspired special guys!
Us: Is it faster than the standard car?
    Ferrari: No
Us: Is it a race car?
    Ferrari: No
    Us: Whats special about it?
Ferrari: Some oddly rendered graphics. O, and it costs a billion dollars. Now theyre selling out but if you kiss out ass you might get to buy one at $50k over sticker.

Im sure they want $350k or more for what is just a normal 599 with very tacky looks. I wouldnt have a problem if the 599 raced with that livery and this was an homage car but it didnt so i dont see the difference between this and a 599 Autoparts special.

And since you can get the same car sans the bad taste stickers for 50% of their asking price..or an F12..

Because it's stupid expensive for nothing more than some tacky graphics. It has ZERO collector value. It's just a gimmick car that Ferrari stuck all its dealers with

I saw it when it first landed at Algar. The folks there were not all that thrilled to see it, and I wondered aloud if it would ever sell at the crazy MSRP it had.

I guess we know the answer to that question.

I confess to actually liking the look of this car. But I would not pay a premium for all of the reasons stated by others.

Yeah, it's actually pretty sad. All the Alonso Editions have been sitting in inventories for months, and months, and months.

It's really an unnecessary edition after the 599 GTO (especially considering its MSRP is not far off from the 599 GTO's MSRP).

It looks like it has an HGTE exhaust, I don't know if it has the HGTE suspension and ecu's.
Also maybe carbon skirts looking at the photo. Clearly the interior finish is different.

Unfortunately i don't know the full spec. but the colour scheme and price is not for me!
Maybe Terry knows the differences over the standard GTB?

Not a fan at all. I'd need a 30% discount from a "regular" 599 to even consider it. Then it'd get a wrap.

Never like the FA edition.. A absurd price tag for nothing. I would go for Niki Lauda edition 458!

It's sad how those graphics look.... especially for Ferrari. I actually think it would be OK without the ones on the bottom of the fenders. When I saw it in the show room I thought it was the protective stuff they put on a new car before they unload it.

I really like how the pillars are white though, that looks great.

.....and, the size of the badge is simply ridiculous. WHY that big ?

@NürScud I took a look, that Niki Lauda edition 458 is simply hideous. What the hell ever happened to the simplistic scud/challenge stripes? I get that it's a Ferrari, but they really seem to be pushing it in terms of how many decals they can apply.

I would buy a GTO instead of it.
