Anyone know where I could get one of this 1984 parts catalog in either original print or a copy? TIA Image Unavailable, Please Login
I've been looking for the same thing - the euro parts catalog is readily available online but it varies from the US version somewhat - particularly the emissions related parts. Haven't been able to find an '84 US parts catalog anywhere so I'd be interested in any leads. Copies are fine, electronic version is fine.
Mike, Sorry. I have the 308QV-328 B/S WorkShop Manual (Reprint). Do you really want the blue binder book(3B) or do you want the info? If the BB Binder, I see them on ebay from time to time. The prices are getting silly stupid as I consider anything over about $225 a "NO Freaking Way." I even got an Enzo gift of an '81 GTSi Parts Cat to a sadly passed F-Car fan some here would know, for less than that. (I have the emails and personal memorbelia of the man I bought it from and from Enzo and family to prove the books authenticity). Let the owners choke awhile and the prices will come down.
Mark, thanks for trying though. I have a feeling it's going to be difficult to find one of this 308 US parts catalog in Germany or any where in Europe.
It seems hard to find anywhere - I finally came across the parts catalog for '83 US 308s but that engine is different from the '84 as it has the air pump. Can't figure out why there is no sign of a catalog for '84-'85 cars. If I find one, i'll let you know, I'm always looking.
The on-line parts catalogs, such as that used by Ricambi America, has big jumps in the Table numbers. For example, for my 1983 308 GTS QV, they show Tables 001 through 045 and Tables 101 through 117. What are those other table numbers (046 to 100) used for? I am thinking too that I would like a paper copy of the 83 QV Parts Catalog. What "extra" would I be getting beyond what is shown on the Ricambi site?
The Spare Parts Catalogue has two sections: Mechanical and Coachwork. Mechanical table numbering starts at Table 1 and uses as many as necessary, the Coachwork section starts at Table 101 and uses as many as necessary. The 308 QV only needed tables 1 - 45 to cover the Mechanical sections, there aren't any missing. The "extras" in my Testarossa SPC is a list of abbreviations, interior/exterior color codes, major sub-assembly PNs, listing of all referenced PN's and their associated table #'s.
An EXPENSIVE Blue Binder (with Horsey printed on it) and paper. Other than that, Nothing. I do collect the binders though. Not a cheap hobby.
Mike, if no one answers before Monday then when I get home I think I have a copy and will post it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
It just so happens I have one, 1984 US exactly what you posted. I don't plan on selling it, but are you looking for anything in particular? Although I would definitely swap it for a 1985 euro catalog, if such a thing exists.
Thanks for the explanations. Glad to hear it is all there on-line. The Owner's Manuals and Workshop Manuals are posted as free PDFs, its too bad the Parts Catalogs are not. Here must be a few other tables in other books. For example, I have seen a blurry photo of the air injection system parts diagram.
There are threee completely different spare parts catalogs for: 1983 US 308QV 1984-85 US 308QV euro 308QV For those of you that actually have a 1984-85 US 308QV spare parts catalog, if you'd like to do the FChat community a favor, please scan it into a pdf format and send the pdf file to Ben Deetman at All Ferraris His email is [email protected]
Hi Mike You might want to do what I did - take the soft copy - import the pics into excel and retype the tables. It's awesome to have a searchable parts catalog - you can easily see all the tabs that one part is used on so you don't end up buying the same part multiple times. I also add info to the table descriptions that I find along the way - such as thread pitch, length, type of washer, and washer dimensions. For hardware this avoids buying the F-labeled stuff. I also print the pics and put them into a binder with the clear page covers - not that I ever have grease on my hands Sometimes touching my laptop keyboard is not the best move. Art BTW - if anyone wants my excel copy of the '83 QV parts catalog that I mention above, please PM me - it's 21 MBytes so I may have to mail a thumb drive to get it to you if your email isn't up to it.
Would you be willing to scan it and make it available? Either here of to Ben as Steve recommend? I know I'd be much appreciative as I'm sure other '84/5 owners would be as well.
YES, there sure are other tables out there. But not all books contained all tables. Don't ask, it is Italian. OK? There were different parts pages for USA, Euro "Normal," Swiss, Jap, and Goodness knows what other specified varients were out there. Some books may have none, some or all of the varient pages. Each is unique and that is what makes this part of ownership or enthusiasm so much fun. You get to be a "No §hit Detective" and bring something new to light to the rest of the community.
Here is a link to virtually all of the 308 Parts Catalogs (and others) in PDF format. All Ferraris This is a surprise find: I could not find them previously.
I've never found a USA QV parts manual before. It has the parts for the smog pump assembly and hose routing, etc. And it is a 1983 dual-cat version. Perfect for me!! I'm printing it right now. THANKS!!
