Hi, I'm looking for all four screwdrivers for a 308 tool kit. I think they should be the amber coloured both long and short, cross and flat head types.
Also to complete my wrench set looking for Everest 6/7, 10/11, 16/17 and 20/22 versions.
    Any help appreciated, thanks!

SuperFormance in the UK sells a whole tool roll that is reasonable and perfect for the cars needs / show.

    Mike,

Your car is a Vetroresina, isn't it? I guess a good discussion with Big Tex would be beneficial if you intend to remain strictly OEM: Alan (= Big Tex) has a very good knowledge of the tool kits of this period. It seems that your wrenches should indeed be Everets to be OEM, but as for the screwdrivers, be sure of what to look for before spending big dollars (or pounds) on something that would not be period correct in the end...

Thanks so much for that, I did start this thread a little while back, http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/308-328/425068-308-tool-kit-questions.html and asked Big Tex for help as I heard he was the tool guru,
but he didn't respond. Did PM as well but nothing back.

    Any help really appreciated, thanks.

    Mike,

I guess your safe with Everest wrenches, but I would be very cautious about screwdrivers; these can command quite a lot of money nowadays, so better buy the right ones first time...IF you happen to find these, that is; strangely, the Philips ones are usually relatively easy to find, but good luck for the two with the flat blade...
I'm sorry but my knowledge of these early toll rolls is insufficient to say anything of value here...

thanks again Nerofer, in the first instance it's just to confirm that the right ones for a 76 car would be the amber coloured (as opposed to black) long and short,
cross and flat head types so 4 in all?

    Mike,

As far as I know, black ones are definitively "no dice": these are from much later tool kits, mainly the one that the factory was selling in the years 2000 or so for those looking for a replacement tool roll, so I would say a definite "no".
Yours should have a translucent handle I guess, ether yellow-orange, or dark amber or brown, this I don't know with certainty and therefore defer to the experts, but always translucent; there is also the question of having, or not, a white "ferrari" script on the handle.
And, yes, four of them: two Philips, a small-medium and a medium one; and two flat blade.

That would be odd - Big Tex is almost ALWAYS around here and is usually pretty good abour responding to PMs as well.

My PM box is like the rest of my life, it operates right at the redline!!

Sorry, I have a new job too, that puts me almost beyond civilization!
    Here I am..

Let's see, first things first...what's first?
The early screwdrivers are amber handles, unmarked. The repros might be a slightly different shade but would surely pass judging??

If judging is no concern, any later tool roll with addition of the Carb Tool, and "early style" window crank will service an early 308GTB.

Again my apologies for not seeing your question sooner!

Everest is good for the wrenches, but I have one roll with a second manufacturer, I'll look and get that info

Those are 328 tool rolls, all I could find at the moment, but I can now take pics of things with my phone so I can shoot my "old" tool rolls..

    Alan,

I guess the tool roll at left is not an original 328 one, but a repro. As I wrote in the other thread, it is missing the spark plug tool/wrench that came indeed with the original 328 tool roll. The tool roll itself does not even have the adequate pocket for the spark plug tool/wrench.
I believe it is the generic repro sold by the factory during the 2000's that could also do for some other models as the Testarossa, etc...
Notice, as already said, that the spark plug tool/wrench is what differenciate 308 tool rolls and 328 tool rolls, as the 308s have 14 mm spark plugs, and 328s have 12 mm spark plugs.

Absolutely correct, these are just kits put together, however the 246 kits are near perfect copies though.

To answer some questions I am getting about the screwdrivers:-

The handles (two sizes) were 3D scanned from a original Dino 246 screwdriver set and have the 6 fluted handles with the V12000 mark imprinted during the injection moulding process. These items were carried over onto the GT4 and early carb 308 cars.

The shanks are made from steel rod and zinc plated before injection moulded handles are fitted, the ends are machined as best as I can to match the originals.

The original handles was sent away to a specialist to determine the correct resin compound and mix to achieve as near perfect replica of the original.

I made a set because my 308 kit had the wrong screwdrivers so decided to make these, the additional items are limited in availability in order to recoup the manufacturing cost. Here they are in my kit....

thanks for all your interest so far.

    Tony

    Hello Tony
How are you? Can you please tell me if your screw drivers are suitable in length for a 400 Ferrari?
