Hi everone I am looking for this part, no one seem to have it..can anyone help me to source it Part # 180846 Waterroil Exhanger Thank You
Ferrari Classic Parts UK show 'limited stock' whatever that means... https://www.ferrariparts.co.uk/PagesExternal/Search.aspx
You might try from EuroSpares UK, they supplied mine with a minimum of fuss. Do also order the replacement washers for the oil line coolers as they're not really suitable for re-use. (#145192) Consider also replacement of the clamps for either end.
Thank you all for the help but still no luck to source one the dealer here say it might take till mid of next year to be available, I am trying with Eurospares to source one from Hong Kong but still waiting for confirmation , can anyone help me to find a second hand part Thank you
I wouldn't trust a used oil/water heat exchanger because if it leaks you will have one big mess on your hands. Is there some reason you are replacing it -- is it a preventive measure. If so more reason not to use a second hand one. Alan
Thank you all for the tips, I manage to get a used one from CA hence as ferrari message new ones will not be available until March 2014, and I do need to replace mine hence it is already damaged. Today I got a message from one of the supplier saying that he manage to source a new one from the UK, i will call him to have it delivered to me.
I would definitely get the new one if you can otherwise you may be in the same boat a year from now. If you have to use the second hand one I would at least pressure test it by putting compressed air into the oil side and immersing it in a tank of water. Check out this thread where they tested one for leaks. Alan http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/technical-q/355457-360-heat-exchanger-leak-gearbox-coolant-3.html
If I had to replace mine I would get 8 intake gaskets with the new rubber before and aft teh intercooler and remove the intake plenum. From there its easy to replace it.
Curt Can that heat exchanger be replaced from below as it looks like it's just behind the water pump? I guess you may have to pull the alternator and/or the AC pump. Alan
Doubt it. It lies in the valley between the two banks at the top of the engine. Maybe via the access hatch in the front of the engine.. maybe...
Daniel, Are they still manufactured by Setrab or unmarked now?....... I'd be interested to see if it is an improved version. Thanks......M
This is an improved version -- actually designed by Daytona Auto in Toronto Canada. They are a wee bit longer than the originals (the rubber end caps still fit fine), and feel heavier.
