Still here chugging along. Was busy with the BBQ comp circuit until recently. Did fairly well against the big boys in a couple of the comps.
Your presence was missed. Certainly I'm not the only one who has a keen interest in what you experienced throughout the process - ups & downs with the fare, whether new or familiar . . .
Yes, please, tells us all about the BBQing. I'll take my reports in the form of recipes and pictures. Thanks! Mark
The problem with comp recipes compared to home cooking is that the comp food is "one bite". Very intense flavor for the judges one bite. To intense for mass consumption. We even made the paper in one rather big comp that's been featured on Food Network several times. Also beat some of the big boys. I'll dig up some pics and post soon.
Sorry about that. My team partner's wife popped out a baby a couple of days ago and he has most of the pics. Here's one I found. Royal Reds and Greens. It was a chef's choice entry. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Yeah, his partner's got to get his priorities straight. I mean c'mon . . . baby, BBQ PIX FOR F-CHAT, baby, BBQ PIX FOR F-CHAT It's so obvious!
