^^ That sounds like a nice interview w/ Mr. Simeone. Post it up. I'd love to see it. I scoured online every search-query I could come up with and couldn't find anything.

Still a work In progress. Had a foot operation and can't walk. Was going to film the demo days the other day to go along with it but have been out of work for a month. Spent a whole day there shooting stills and the video will be along with a written piece.

I will put some very condensed version on here and link to the bigger piece.

I don't have much to contribute to this thread but I can tell you that Bob is extremely passionate when it comes to both photography and cars. From the normal person perspective..its just a photo. From a photographers perspective there is alot going into that photo: ISO, Sunlight, shadows, etc.

Mix passion with cabin fever and this thread is the result.

    Ok, I'm back in.

Having watched the video it's a ride along shot with a handheld. No tripod, no car mounted cameras, just a shaky video ride along and some crowd/car shots. The pans and zooms are haphazard.

An in car mounted camera takes 5 minutes to do, and produces significantly better images. A pan or zoom, shot from a tripod mounted camera results in smooth images. The digital image stabilizers just don't cut it.

Hopefully it does Dr. Simeone and his museum some good. But professional? Hardly.

To the OP, go watch a couple movie clips, compare them to your work. Then go to school and learn how to shoot and produce a video, I'm sure there's an online class somewhere that'll help.

Sorry for the harsh words, but one of the core arguments here is professionalism and making a living at shooting video for the internet. Give me an hour to prepare, and a professional videographer, and the access the OP had, and we'd have quite a video to watch.

Not wishing to trash the OP by any means but to take the statement "I will likely be visiting the Simeone Museum to do some video work for them" and put it along side that video is ludicrous. That video was a home movie, nothing more, that any visitor could have taken.
For a multimillionaire like Fred Simeone to rely on freebies on Youtube for promoting his museum is ridiculous and Bob - while making an example of the poor OP, is dead-on right with his criticisms of this practice.
For anyone who still doesn't grasp the argument that Bob is making search out "Pay the Writer" by Harlan Ellison.

    Dave,

The guy never said he was a pro, his quote, "media pass". Go back and read the first 12 posts, all he wanted was things to do in your hometown, then post #13 it takes a total left turn.
"Core arguments" is something others decided to argue, not the OP, never the point of his thread.

OP had his visit and shared with the MAR his work. Time to close this thread.
