It's a very interesting issue. Basically that is the way to go to make something really aerodynamically efficient and very fast. The problem is that that "LMP1/Group C" design doesn't give you a real two person cockpit and tends to look hyper technical. We have two designs I like very much but they are very different. One is "LMP1/Group C" with a touch of GT and the other is classical beautiful design. We're also investigating making 2 cars and are trying to figure out if it's feasible to keep the same chassis/tub/engine etc. with both designs one "Road" and one "Road and Track".
Good. TTV6 is being developed. Our goal is 600 HP in endurance tune. Final displacement not yet decided.
I saw that earlier today, aside from looking purposeful and mean it has much more room between the center nose and front wheel arches, the bodywork flanking the wheel arches appears to be multi level which I bet has a hefty aero yield. Porsche will have their work cut out for them.
Not new rules. Those rules have been around for a while. To keep air from building up in the wheel wells when the car slides violently or spins and causing it to flip.
Ever heard about the Welter Racing project : a chassis design for the 2014 LMP rules and that could also be used for a GT ?
Packing my helmet. Packing my shoes. Heading over to Italy to sit in SCG 003 and SCG 003C's chassis, seat, pedal box and roof mockup to make sure I like the fit.
The Porsche looks great. Webber is at the wheel, BTW, which is a surprise. The release did not mention testing at Sebring, which is interesting, too, as ARTINNYC actually saw the car running on track. Have a great flight and keep us posted on the new car, Jim!
pretty darn cool car...it was far ahead of its time. i had a chance to sit in that car once. getting into it was more like entering a space capsule the way the door cutout was. i have pictures laying around somewhere. thanks for posting hf

Saw some early sketches when I went to visit in August, but these look even prettier than what I remember. Exciting!!
Just home from a great trip to see SCG 003. I'm very excited with the design and engineering. This one will be very special and a great adventure as we move LMP1 design into GT design for our next road and race car.
As I watched that video I thought to myself...."we're witnessing a once in a lifetime journey of a man with unique and amazing cars"......and to then think its still not over (I read him mention a one off Pagani) When will something like this ever happen again? Truly Amazing! .....Thank you so much for sharing.
Our goal is very light weight and a car that can easily and quickly be converted from a road car to a race car. We're trying to use LMP1 type aero on a GT car and still have a real two seater.
