No doubt Matthias will buy it and discover another Le Mans legend !!!! It certainly looks in need of some love.

this picture shows #00398 in the mid 1980s raced by Ron Shanahan (Solano Beach, CA, USA). as far as I know no interesting period racing history.... picture scaned from a Jean-Pierre Gabriel book "Dino, Die anderen Ferrari" page 260 Image Unavailable, Please Login
Received a reply from the seller with larger photos. I will post tomorrow. He has ZERO documents for the car... Regards, Alberto
Already discussed.... http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/206-246/431284-206-tokyo-ebay.html It looks like the seller has used the info provided on that thread to flesh out his ad.
Mathias asks what race the car was shown in. I can only assume that this is Donnington Park UK ,all local adverts on the banners. By the way,Arthur Connan -Doyle wrote the Sherlock Holmes books some 100 years ago,so I think it unlikely that he was driving that Dino!
that makes sence, apparently raced in the 1980s in GB.... started his live in Switzerland as a normal production 206 GT and was probably converted some 10 to 15 years later in GB
The model is a 246, made to look like the 206. Could be a fun club car. Not for a he-man though. They say all parts are present, but needs restoration. So... A street car? With a bit of race history. Interesting.
Here you go... Regards, Alberto Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
