Almost one step closer to salvation...

My 355 is at a shop right now getting emissions. It's a rainy dreary day and the last thing I need to find out is that it failed. I've been struggling with CELs since the day I bought the car (got a CEL on the drive home!).

The main CEL was p1448 attributed to the bypass valve. But I had others such as cat efficiency and what not. Recently reverted the exhaust back to stock, reset the lights, and p1448 came right back. I did some reading here and wired the valve open, then unplugged the thermocouple and stuffed it somewhere to the side in the engine bay. So far I've driven ~100 miles with several on/off/cold starts and it has not come back.

On the drive to the shop I had visions of it blinking to life as I pulled into a parking spot, luckily that did not happed, but I suppose it could always come back when the tech drives the car to the station, heh.

Anyways, once it passes emissions I'll be good for 2 years here in VA, safety inspection was just recently done too. I'll be very close to being ready to sell the car!! *fingers crossed*
