    Looks nice!

I'm considering selling mine - I just have some other projects that need funds. Although the car is in decent shape, I have a hard enough time juggling my 308 and E-Type.

A good friend of mine has this EXACT same color combo. It is a 92 I believe. I think its a great looking car as well. I can put you in touch with him if you're interested. his needs a little work now though. It has been sitting for a few years. He doesn't drive it much anymore but is having trouble parting with it I guess, LOL. I think that the white on tan is the best combo for this car. Very classy

a friend had an XJS, the alternators were notoriously crap. they were, of course, made by Lucas.

IIRC there is a GM part that a lot of people switched to, solves a lot of electrical/dead battery issues.

keep the car...it's really cool. nice daily if you can get it working properly.

Not a good idea to jump the car, the electronics in the ecu is very sensitive.

You hardly ever see these cars where we live, although there was a perfect convertible parked at a lot in CA when we were there last week, my wife commented how beautiful it was, and she rarely notices cars.

Curious if anyone has ever tried the manual transmission conversions for the XJS. While expensive at about $5k for the transmission and kit before installation, I would think it would transform the experience of driving the car.

Still waiting for a similar kit for the XK8/XKR. A six speed manual in an XKR coupe would be about perfect...

Why are you waiting? The kits have been available for sometime.

Was not able to find a kit for the XK8/XKR. The XJS kit has been around for a few years I think.

If you have a link, much appreciated.

Can't believe I've had mine for a year - still not started (!!!) I was just looking at it as the cover blew off, the stance from the front is spot on.

tundraphile, I believe you are correct, as what I was looking at is a LS1 w/Five speed conversion for the XK8 and of course as you mentioned, the XJS kit.

I have been looking at both cars... and kits.
