The gas gauge in my 1999 355 F1 has decided to read completely empty all the time regardless of how much gas is in the tank. Has anyone had this happen, and if so how did you repair it?
Thank you for any advice you can give.

Start with the easiest: unplug the electrical connector at the back of the gauge, clean the contacts a bit, plug it back in and pray. Also check to see if there is a fuse just for the fuel gauge. If so, change it out.

I drove it for a while this evening and it was working fine. Your suggestion about checking connections is a good one, I bet something is loose causing the intermittent operation. Thank you for the response, I will let you know what I find.
