I miss Dan's posts.....
Maybe he is just busy. He did my calipers a few months ago and was very forthcoming and helpful with a UPS issue and in advising on the brake line install. Give him a shout.
He got hammered on by some f-chat folks for a problematic Mondail. It was pretty ugly. Things kinda of went away after that. To bad as I learned a lot just watching him and his team take these cars apart. He has pretty much stopped posting on his sub forum as well
That almost doesn't even count Truely unfortunate though. **** can go south for professionals in all professions even when all care and precausions are taken. Too many times I see shops getting unfair treatement online because of one experience.
They earned my respect by sharing knowledge rather than keeping it to themselves. For things I can do, engine swaps, suspension work etc. they helped clear up specifics on the 355, for something I could never do like re-leather a dash, I would give them the job without question.
After reading most of BRANDONS threads over the last year, when i was just reading here. I have to say they were very refreshing with there openness and documentation of there procedures. The complete opposite to certain Other experts who post sarcastic comments then disappear with out giving any form of helpful advice. I have tried to find the Mondial link which caused BRANDON to leave the forum, can anyone post it?
for the dino crowd lamenting dan's demise, scroll thru the boxer thread to read Newmans post/pics etc. excellent you will learn a lot Dan did service my car 18mos ago (550 barchetta), no problems and good job.....hope he is doing well. Jack
he's around and doing well...pretty sure he checks in every now and then. ill text him and see what happens.
We moved our shop this spring/summer into a larger facility 40 min closer to Manhattan. The whole process has been over overwhelming but we are getting settled in now. The extra workload of posting every night is just to much right now. I still continue to take pictures daily and will eventually sit down and post everything. For now I just email photos to customers who currently have cars in for service. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Dan from Ricambis old 348 was sent in by it's new owner for a full mechanical and cosmetic overhaul. This will eventually go up and should be a great thread for 348/355 fans. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Congrats I think LOL Just did a similar move, we thought 30 days max ended up taking 6 months All the best
It's way better for us all around. We really outgrew the old shop a year ago and everyone was complaining how far we were from Manhattan. In 2012 we spent $22,000 on fuel transporting customers cars so cutting down the commute 60 miles round trip should help our bottom line. Haha so true. You don't realize how much you have until it's time to move it!!
I'm eager for this when you do start posting it. While I'm not currently in any need, I've recently become a sponge for all things 348.
Of course not! Hes my brother from another mother at this point. We have two more techs now who will get introduced in the new shop thread.
Dan, Glad to see you're doing well and growing. Maybe the customers can post up their pics when you email them so we all can get our BRADAN fix. Jordan
