So what does this have to do with your ad? I remember this as a reason for someone else on this site recently receiving a part for a a 308 which was not in the condition they expected, due to lack of care in packaging prior to shipping.

If you expect your advanced degree to be worth something to a perspective employer or partner, not doing things correcctly because you are busy is not going to cut it in the current employment environment.

I have worked with many who were smart enough to get advanced degrees, but who could not get the mission accomplished correctly. Excuses are for those who don't take responsibility for their mistakes or actions. Sorry, but a pattern is alway clear to others when they see one. Good luck with your sale.

    so simple.

op just says early on, 'sorry for bad attitude, im stressed with school but here's answer to your question.....'

thread 'static' would have stopped dead. some people never learn and btw, since op is so busy, it would have taken less time to compose that then his sarcastic rant

RUF did conversions at their shop in NJ on customer cars and apparently simply bought cars and converted them too. Any of those could be called "RUF" turbos.

So is this car a New Jersey RUF car or does it have some RUF parts? Big difference.

But enough Free time to post an average of 3.2 posts here per day I see.

Regardless, it seems the confusion can be summed up nicely below, where the OP admits in his own words the car is a "RUF Replica". Guess it was necessary to leave that part out in the FS ad.

Good reading, especially the part how he doesn't know much about 911 turbos - but in 4 months he can "educate the masses"

I had another slant nose conversion for a few years. I have had 10 or 11 911's so far. How many have you had? This Turbo is my first "Turbo". My other slantnose was a Turbo Look with a regular 3.2 in it. The car is listed in post 1 as a conversion. Why you care so much is beyond me, as you are just like the idiot in CA full of opinions on a car you cannot register with your States emission laws.

So feel free to continue to be an idiot, in my for sale thread. When you post all your Ferrari, Porsche , Lamborghini, Pantera, and Lotus VIN's like I have on FChat ( see my profile) for all the cars I have owned , Maybe, just maybe I would care what you have to say. Ill put you and the others back on "ignore" so I don't have to read your zero value rubbish.

    Piss off.

This 'act' of berating people and their cars for sale seems to be a clown act trend. Why don't you antagonists do something else with your time? If you check a car for sale and you don't like it, leave it at that? Why comment? 99 freakin% of the time you are spewing nonsense anyway. I've been there...I would sit there looking at my car while some clown was bad mouthing it and I was saying simply to myself, 'no, this car IS as I have described, freakin spectacular in every way, not sure why without inspecting it would this guy say something like this?' Meanwhile some blowhard makes negative comments and then is supported by multiple d-bags just amusing themselves. See the trend? Go away.

And Ferrari-chat is actually better than MOST other forums in my opinion, but there is still this element. Ranting because it obviously bugged me when I was offering some incredible cars for sale over the years, and the trend was definitely there.

In an attempt to remain positive :D and find a solution. I would urge everyone to cease ripping on others and their cars. I was thinking there has to be a place where one can offer up exceptionally nice or rare or WHATEVER...CARS where there is respect and civility. Let's strive to make this place, that place :)
Eventually many are gonna wanna part with this car or that car and they gonna need a place to offer it. All THE car people and MOST of the great cars of the world are owned or represented right here, behave! Be cool with each other!

Last edit. I hope all of you know-it-alls that pissed all over this for sale thread re read it. I also hope you never have a 308 and use the cross reference thread that I posted years ago that has helped thousands of people if you still think I am such a horrible person. To me it says a lot that one buyer bought both my cars. They may have interest in my 86 ferrari 328 as well, as its going up for sale soon too.

    end.

    Mike,
You forgot to add a "Yeehaw!" at the end.

Or, if keeping with the tone of the rest of your post, "YEEEEEEEEEHAAAAAAAW!!"

The car is not a real RUF and RAC didn't think it was.

Wouldn't it be proper to label it as a Rennsport with a RUF-spec motor build, as per the initial post??

I don't know much about these cars or this one, what to call it. Just making it clear this was not a real RUF as said and that RAC isn't saying it is either.

Michael, it's nice to see that you have sold the car. Congratulations.

However, the fact is that you were the one who pissed all over your own ad here. Apparently, you have somehow missed the entire reason why this ad went sideways in the first place. Clear your head of whatever you think caused this, and then go back and reread it as a neutral outsider. It had nothing to do with the fact that you listed it as a 1987 model, yet it was titled as a 1974 model. It also had nothing to do with whether or not it was an authentic RUF. Nor did it have anything to do with the fact that you stated that the car couldn't be legally registered in CA, when in fact it could. The ruckus was all caused by your attitude with the very first person who asked you a question - a very legitimate question, by the way:

Here's where you could have provided a simple explanation of why you chose to list the car as an '87. Instead, you completely lost it. When reading your reply, keep in mind that your listing was titled "Rennsport 1987 Ruf BTR 3.5 Slantnose" and that the word "conversion" was nowhere to be found in the listing.

    Fine.

    Whatever.

The texts and conversations I had with Jonathan lead me to believe that it was a real Ruf at one time, he stated and I quote "...They tracked down and spoke to the orginal owner" and "Jared has plans for the car."

Car was wicked, scary fast, and has no place on public roads, at least not while registered to me.

I am glad it found a new home, "whatever-it-is"

    Hello.
To end this story, I buy it the porsche and is now in mexico city.
This love, fast and wicked porsche is one of the most beautiful cars.
Yesterday it was show in the international competition of elegance on México, and was one of the most watched Porsches cars.
None can know where a car finished, but believe me this car will be well treated and cared in my collection.
    best regards.

+1 And if you read his original thread ("Life with a turbo Porsche ?") in the Porsche section, you COULD see from a mile away that it all was a "work" to flip a just-acquired car.
