I loved mine but they were very hard to clean. I even had custom metal centers and a custom wooden knock off tool and could not sell them on ebay. I ended up almost giving them away......

In the pic you can see the three holes the centerpiece fits on then the knock off cap screws on the top. I miss them but have 3 sets of wheels so you have to draw the line somewhere......

They were 7.5x16 all four. Actually Henry and I met because I had a et of these on another car I owned!

I pull the wheels (compomotives) off once a year to deep clean arond the bolts holding the rims together. Thoughout the year, I just wash normally with a few nylon brushes of various sizes, and blow dry with my 800 horsepower turbo charged leaf blower.

What are the widths of your wheels? Do you know what combo wheel halves you are running?

I recently bought an 88 328 GTS, I think you may have the hot setup - what are those wheels and where to buy?

    Thanks

Anyone have BBS E501's with gold or black centers?

I got a set that need refinishing(currently black centers) and I think they would look great in gold on my red GT4....

Damn Mark, that might be my favorite 308 of all time, what a great looking car in black, lowered with the Compo's. Awesome my man.

from a fellow FChatters I bought these, had them refinished (but not over finished, rims still have the machine marks) and with satin centers instead of the 80's gold anodizing. I like them, very nicely made wheels, very period and with the black centers easy to keep and up the agressiveness on a Gt4.

But...I am thinking to stay with 14's and even going back to the Cromadora's with hubcaps (I have 3 already, need one more). We dont have billiard smooth roads here and I'm unlikely to track the car.

Perhaps someone is looking for a set of refinished Gotti's ? Here's one before the bolts with new Nylocs when back in and without the new OEM Gotti caps I bought from France.

Wasnt there another thread posted on this?

I think the 550 wheels are some of the nicest looking for the 3x8.

I looked around and did not see any pictures of a GT4 with 16 inch 550 wheels. Does anyone have a photo of this configuration? Thanks!
